In July 2006 the year classes each spent a day at Worthington lakes near Standish. The trip was organised by United Utilities. This is the company that supplies our water! Each class had an interactive lesson on the water cycle, water pollution and water usage. Then they had to navigate using compass coordinates around the reservoir, finding secret clues. Then games and lunch after which everyone had to recycle their packaging. Finally a game about the rainforests, painting masks and making a key rings. They all even got a free bottle for water at the end of the day. All for free!!! Brilliant! |
