Swimming 2017-18

Learning to swim forms an important part of our Physical Education National Curriculum; it is also an essential life-saving skill. Sadly, drowning is still one of the most common causes of accidental death in children, so swimming is a sport with the potential to save lives. Utilising our Primary PE and Sports Premium, we ensure that children receive a course of swimming lessons every academic year from Year 3 to Year 6. This is particularly important as our school is located near to a canal and we are situated in a coastal area.
