Achievement through Happy Learning

Christmas Reading Morning

Lesson: English

This morning, family members have joined us for our annual Christmas Open Morning. EYFS were studying 'The Stick Man' and Years 1 to 6 were studying ‘The Christmas Truce’. The Christmas Truce a retelling of the famous story of a Christmas Day truce between British and German troops on the front line during which an impromptu football game took place. We are always impressed with the sensitivity children show when studying such books. There is a beautiful statue commemorating this event at the bombed-out church on Bold Street in Liverpool – if you have chance to visit when you’re in town, please send us a photo! Isabella and Lily were able to visit and took these stunning photos.
