Achievement through Happy Learning

Rights Respecting School

This webpage has been designed by children sitting on the Rights Respecting Schools Steering Group. We hope you like it and enjoy our important messages.

As a school, we promote the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Our children learn about their rights in different ways at school and learn to respect that these rights apply to every child, for example:

Article 15 – ‘you have the right to choose your own friends’.

We achieved Recognition of Commitment (ROC) for the Rights Respecting Schools Award and we continue to consider the rights of all which links to our British Values.

Our logo, designed by former pupils, was selected to represent our work promoting the rights of every child around the world.

Each classroom creates their own ‘Class Charter’ every year to ensure that all children learn within a safe and happy environment, accessible to all.
