Achievement through Happy Learning

Year 4 - Spring One

Class: Year 4 Year: 2021 - 2022

During Spring 1 we have learnt about a variety of topics throughout our curriculum which have enabled us to expand our learning.

In English, we have explored Shakespeare's famous play, 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.'  We were able to delve further into the world of Shakespeare exploring new characters and exciting plot twists which we then turned into our own play script.

In History, we began to explore the Tudors, focusing specifically on the Tudor Monarchy, exploring the timeline of famous Kings and Queens and the impact they had upon Britain today. We were able to further our learning by completing a family tree themed project at home for which all children received a Head Teacher's Award.

During our Art sessions, we recreated the famous Tudor Rose tying into our learning on The Battle of Bosworth in History. We explored colours and textures and took great care making our final product before evaluating our designs.

In Science, we have engaged with a very intriguing topic - States of Matter. We looked closely at the particles in solids, liquids and gases to ensure we were familiar with their behaviour and properties. We were also able to complete a class experiment linked to evaporation and really put our scientific minds to the test.
