Mayan Masks designs were an important part of this ancient culture. You will learn about the symbolism behind the designs before using your art skills to design a mask design of your own.

Spring

Liverpool is a wonderful place to observe cityscapes. Try to look at the silhouttes of houses at sunset. Liverpool was heavily bombed during the war and much of the city was destroyed. These terrible scenes will inspire your artwork. To get a sense of the destruction, try to visit St. Lukes Church in Liverpool (at the top of Bold Street), also known as The Bombed Out Church.

Summer

We know a lot about the Ancient Greeks from the images they left behind in their art. You will learn the features of Greek amphora and how the designs tell a story from the past. This will be the inspiration for your art.
