Computing

Year 1 computing focuses on foundational digital literacy, basic computer navigation, and an introduction to early coding. The curriculum is divided into three core strands: computer science (programming), information technology (using software), and digital literacy (online safety).

Stay Safe: Each and every term there will be an eSafety lesson to help children learn how to stay safe online. There is lots more advice on the 'Keep Children Safe' page of our website. 

Our Intent and Impact (I&I) sheets below list the questions we want children to be able to answer once they have completed their learning. They also highlight key vocabulary which children must learn.
