History
Year 2 history focuses on developing a foundational understanding of the past through simple timelines, historical vocabulary, and finding out about the world using different sources of evidence like stories, pictures, and artefacts.
In the summer term, Year 2 will also complete a unti of learning The Stone Age with their Year 3 teacher as part of their transition to the juniors.
Autumn
By the end of this term Year 2 childrenwill know more about famous people who have infludenced our lives. Do not forget to go home and share their stories with your family. You will also know more about our famous city, Liverpool.
Summer
By the end of this term Year 2 will know more about holidays through the ages. Talk to your relatives about holidays they remember when they were young. Are there any similarities or differences? Year 2 will also research school-life in the past. I wonder if they would like to go back in time!
