Autumn
It is important that we know and understand our local history. Liverpool was historically a very important port. Some of that history is shameful: The International Slavery Museum in Liverpool focuses on the history and legacy of the transatlantic slave trade.
Spring
The Industrial Revolution changed the world forever. This term Year 6 will learn more about this period, including the role of child workers!
Summer
Last year you studied WWII, and now you will learn about post-war Britain. You may have family members who still remember rationing, or the 50s, 60s and 70s? Ask them to tell you more and explain how things have changed.
Our Intent and Impact (I&I) sheets below list the questions we want children to be able to answer once they have completed their learning. They also highlight key vocabulary which children must learn.
