Music

Throughout KS2 we study different aspects of music. We listen, participate and practise. There are lots of musical clips to listen to on BBC Bitesize. Visit www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize and follow the link to KS2 music. Our juniors also have weekly singing lessons and you will be invited to our Christmas Singing Concert.

We have chosen to teach using the Kapow scheme of work which provides a rich, spiral curriculum enjoyed by our children. Four units are completed over the course of the year. This is complemented by our commitment to our school instrument - the voice. 

Our Intent and Impact (I&I) sheets below list the questions we want children to be able to answer once they have completed their learning. They also highlight key vocabulary which children must learn.
