Achievement through Happy Learning

RE

Year 2 Religious Education at Hatton Hill follows the locally agreed syllabus set by the Sefton SACRE (Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education). While RE is not part of the national curriculum, it is a compulsory subject. The curriculum guides learners to explore both religious and non-religious beliefs, with a primary focus on understanding Christianity, Islam and Jusaism. We aim to move away from rote learning and into a more enquiry-based approach, to develop learners who are curious, interested and respectful of different faiths.

Our Intent and Impact (I&I) sheets below list the questions we want children to be able to answer once they have completed their learning. They also highlight key vocabulary which children must learn.
