A Grand Day Out
Lesson: Science
Class: Reception Year: 2024 - 2025
Reception have been learning about 'growing' and making observations about changes over time. To further this learning, they visited Walton Hall Park and Gardens and what a lovely, sunny day it was! Thank you to Liz and Peter for being wonderful guides during our visit to the Children's Zoo. We were able to meet, feed and pet lots of animals, including 'Big Red' the cockerel, 'Dennis' the duck and 'Conker' the greedy pig. After that, we followed the woodland trail where we listened to a story written by our favourite author Julia Donaldson, admired the beautiful gardens and stopped off for our lunch at the bandstand, with a perfect view of grand Walton Hall. Later, we spotted a heron, terrapins and fish in the pond and finished our day in the adventure playground. Thank you to the kind ladies in the café who provided us with more water to keep us hydrated on such a sunny, beautiful day
