Acorn Farm Adventure

Lesson: Science

Class: Year 2 Year: 2025 - 2026

Year 2  ventured out to Acorn Farm as part of our science topic looking at the life cycles of animals. Children were given the opportunity to hold a number of small creatures in the petting zoo including rabbits, guinea pigs. chicks and rats. The staff at the farm took us on guided tours, during which we saw a variety of farm animals including many that had recently been born. The staff told us many different facts about the animals including seasonal changes which take place, such as the growing and shedding of different animals' fur. After lunch we had some free time and were allowed to explore the farm further and got some time in the playground! It was a fantastic day full of fun and many cute animals.  Well done, Year 2, your behaviour and attitude were impeccable.
