Acorn Farm Learning Adventure

Lesson: Science

Class: Year 2 Year: 2024 - 2025

Year 2 had a lovely day at Acron Farm with amazing weather.  Our children were very lucky to see some baby lambs that were only 5 hours old - born at 6am that morning! The children enjoyed petting some guinea pigs- Pinky and Chip; a rabbit called Cleo and a wriggly rat that sat on the children's shoulders! They also went on a tour of the farm to see the goats, sheep, horses, geese and cows and the children enjoyed feeding Boris and Bruce, the 3-month-old cows. Did you know that the strongest muscle in a cow is its tongue? After lunch the children had some time to sketch the animals, then play on the adventure playground! We're very proud that farm staff praised the children saying how well-mannered and lovely they were. Well done, Year 2.
