Reception Reading Morning - Tiddler
Class: Reception Year: 2021 - 2022
On June 28th, Reception hosted our second open morning of the year to celebrate our love of books and stories. This time we enjoyed one of our favourite stories of the year, ‘Tiddler: the Storytelling Fish’ by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
Children invited their adults to join us for the morning.
We were delighted to have adults join us for the story at carpet-time. We then had time to tell our own stories, to write, to play phonics and maths games, and even make our own sea creatures.
Children were very excited to have their special guests join us in class. Adults had a lovely time sharing our story and helping us tell our own ‘tall tales’ just like Tiddler. It was a fantastic end to our ‘Under the Sea’ topic.
