Achievement through Happy Learning

The Queen's Jubilee

Although the weather was not been quite as we hoped, we had a lovely week during which we have enjoyed some special jubilee celebrations. To begin with the children studied the life of The Queen during our ‘Book Week’. We learned, for example, that The Queen’s first broadcast to the nation was during WW2 when she was just fourteen and she is still actively serving our country 82 years later! The school was vibrant with patriotic hats and crazy hair styles! The lunch was a memorable treat (we picniced in the hall instead of outside). The Police Band were simply amazing and everyone had a wonderful time with lots of clapping and flag waving.
