To the Rescue!

Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Class: Year 5 Year: 2026 - 2027

Congratulations to our junior firefighters who took part in their graduation ceremony following completion of the Beacon Project with Merseyside Fire and Rescue. During the six-week course the children learned key skills, including team work, first aid, hose skills and water safety. They put all these skills into action to complete a drill whereby they tackled a mock fire with the hose; rescued civilians, checked a smoke filled building and completed first aid. It was truly impressive! A big thank you to Merseyside Fire and Rescue staff for this unique opportunity and all their kindness and support.
