Achievement through Happy Learning

Travelling Back in Time

Lesson: History

Class: Year 4 Year: 2025 - 2026

Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic trip to the DEVA Museum, where they brought their learning to life, drawing from their Opening Worlds work on the Romans. The children explored the interactive museum exhibits and marched (Roman-style) through the historic streets of Chester, visiting the amphitheatre along the way. Museum staff were highly impressed, commenting on our pupils’ excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and the depth of their historical understanding. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to showcase their learning in a real-world setting, and they represented the school brilliantly.
