Year 1 Autumn 1 news

Class: Year 1 Year: 2021 - 2022

This term Year One have been learning about the local area. We found out about different houses and building types, then we went for a detective walk around the local area to spot all the different features we had learnt about. In DT, we created our own house designs for the Three little Pigs after testing different materials for strength. In science, we have been investigating seasonal changes and really enjoyed our scavenger hunt, looking around the school grounds for signs of autumn. We shared our knowledge about Harvest time by leading the whole school Harvest Festival, celebrating and giving thanks for the food we eat.
